Dedicated to those who gave, so that we may have our Freedoms.

Many have given much, some gave their lives, others gave a limb or an eye and all gave a part of themselves. It is time to recognize these valiant, brave and heroic Americans within our local community. Through many meetings and discussions we have finally come together to make it happen. Without the help of so many veterans within our community and other non-veterans that have put their heart and help into this, it would still be just a dream.
I am proud to have been a part in getting this process started and making it a reality. I feel honored to have been granted the privilege to design and build the monument to portray our thanks to those many throughout the many wars and conflicts who have given their all so that you and I can have the Freedoms that we enjoy. I am forever grateful to my fellow veterans that I have been able to work with on this project, either in fine tuning the design or just outright help in putting it together. Thanks to Chuck Sokolic and Larry Stitzel for helping when it was needed, and to Schofield Design for the Beautiful Eagle.
Special thanks go to the organizations that have helped make this possible, the men and women of American Legion Post 67, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 67, Veterans of Foreign Wars 5452, and the Disabled American Veterans D-Day chapter. And a thank you to The Four Rivers Cultural Center and Treasure Valley Community College for the donated plot of ground on which the monument will stand. Without the generosity of these organizations and many businesses that have been involved in the creation, either through support, donated products, time or labor we would still be without a monument to recognize the granters and protectors of our freedom, the men and women of the United States of America's five branches of the armed forces. The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast guard.
The pictorial presentation on the following page shows the process from the beginning. It is a work in progress and will continue for some time yet, so the pictures are current up to the present point in the project.
